Something I’ve become more and more passionate about this year is helping language learners add joy to their language learning routines.
As someone who has been learning languages for many, many years, I understand the ups and downs, highs and lows that come from it. For example, when I get started with a new language, I want to study all the time and find all the resources. I get a high when I have that first conversation with a native speaker.
But after awhile, it’s hard to keep up the motivation and the consistency. I start to feel down about my progress. I feel burnt out and not sure if I even want to continue with it. This happens especially when learning multiple languages at the same time because you can feel bad about losing some progress in one while focusing on another. I’ve heard so many of you have lately been feeling this way.
And while the Language TV Club can be a super fun way to work on your language skills, some of you may not be all that interested in television or have the time to watch a series. (But if you do, make sure to subscribe below!)
That’s why I’m so excited to share something that will help language learners like you blast burnout and bring joy back to learning.
Language FunFest is a free 3-day event that will re-ignite that spark of learning a new language.
You can get all the details about Language FunFest on our Polyglot Station website, but here are the main points:
Language FunFest will run from Dec 1-3.
Each day will be packed with amazing presenters who are ready to show you how to have fun with languages and bring you in on the action with fun and unique activities in multiple languages.
There's also a pop-up Facebook group where you can connect with other language learners, ask the speakers questions and more!
The event is absolutely free to attend, but you can choose to grab the Language Fun Pack for bonus resources and an upgraded event experience.
Events like these are so important to be able to connect with other learners like you. Being able to connect and create ongoing relationships with other learners can give you the motivation and the emotional support to continue with learning your language.
Are you as excited as I am?!
I can’t wait to have some fun with you!
P.S. If you're reading this blog post and Language FunFest has already passed, don't worry! We can offer you some great resources to have fun based on the language you're learning. Just send us an email at info@polyglotstation.com.
